MILWAUKEE’S WINNING-EST TRIVIA NIGHT HAS ONCE AGAIN BEEN NOMINATED AS THE BEST IN TOWN
Blackbird Thursday Team trivia is Bay View’s popular home-grown, independent pub quiz. The Quiz has been nominated annually as one of Shepherd Express' "Best of Milwaukee," the longest-running reader’s choice contest in our fair city.
Our humble host Joe is hanging up the mic after nearly a decade of writing questions and egging on the crowd. We want one more “Best Of” win to let him go out on top!

WE ASKED A PODCAST FOR SOME ADVICE!
We talked with the hosts of We’re Here to Help - Jake Johnson (Nick Miller from New Girl) and Gareth Reynolds (Brian the Security Guard from New Girl). We asked for help with drumming up some voter enthusiasm for this years’ awards.
They gave us a LOT of okay-ish ideas! Like making a Squarespace site. (And some other things that frankly we probably won’t do.)

WE DID IT! IT’S COMIN’ HOME (THE PLAQUE, THAT IS)! Well gang, all our efforts paid off and the ol' Bird took home Milwaukee's Best of Awards for Best Happy Hour and Best Trivia Night! The party's not over yet! Joe has a few quizzes left, so if you're in Milwaukee, stop by on Thursday's between now and February 12, 2026 for a few hours of friends, fribbles and fun! A Message from Joe: Thanks to all of my favorite trivia nerds for supporting us and showing up each week, and to our bartenders for making sure we all have fun. Jake, Gareth, and the whole crew at We're Here to Help gave me just the kick in the pants I needed to get out there and ham it up for votes one last time! And while I can't prove it, I'm sure we snagged some crucial extra votes from some listeners. You're the best!
